Jarmon would have been suspended by NCAA for his senior season at Kentucky after he tested positive for a banned substance in May, so he entered the supplemental draft to look for a professional football team. The Redskins chose him, on consideration that Jarmon received honorable mention on the All-Southeastern Conference team last year, made the second team in 2007, and ranks third on Kentucky’s career list with 17.5 sacks.
