Browns WR Stallworth is trying to avoid 15 years of imprisonment

Miami police said that Browns WR Stallworth was driving under the influence alcohol on March 14th and caused a fatal car crash, which killed a pedestrian.

During a brief court hearing on Thursday, Stallworth did not appear, but his defense attorney Christopher Lyons entered a plea of not-guilty. The trial date has not been set.

The 28-year-old WR has begun his professional career since 7 years ago. He used play for the Saints, the Eagles and the Patriots before he came to the Browns. He is now free on $200,000 bail and is required to abstain from alcohol and observe a curfew. He also isn't allowed to drive. If he will be concited, he will have to face up to 15 years of imprisonment.

Collapse of Cowboys' facility caused Irving official's doubt

On May 2nd, the Cowboys' practice facility collapsed in a straight-line wind and caused paralyzation to scouting assistant Rich Behm and injuries to 11 others.

Irving officials expressed their doubt about the quality of the Cowboys's facility in text messages. They urged the Cowboys to do necessary things to solve the problem. They said that the collapsed ffacility was never structurally sound enough to hold up straight-line winds. It was siad that the city officials gave the Cowboys preferential treatment, but they recently denied that speculation and said they treated every organization in the same way.

There will be no suspension for Marshall this season

Since the charge for his disorderly conduct in Atlanta was dropped, there will be no suspension coming to the Broncos WR Brandon Marshall. And his recovery from hip injury will allow him to be taken in the first four rounds of most drafts.

As one of the top 15 WRS, Marshall's not being suspened is really a good news both to himself and the team. While it is sure that we can expect better performance from Marshall, his full participation will add complement to QB Kyle Orton's weapons. This season should be statistically Kyle Orton's best season.

Doctor said Brady's recovery is quicker than expectation

Tom Brady got injury on his left knee last year in the Patriots’ 2008 season opener, and went to Los Angeles to undergo surgery. He came back to the team practice last week.

The doctor who performed the surgery on Brady is the team doctor for Major League Baseball’s Los Angeles Dodgers. He told the media that Brady's ability to rehabilitate is over his expectation, much more quicker than average people.

To Patriot fans, it is really a good news. Brady's early coming back before season begins will add the Patriots possibility to win more games.

Rex Ryan is bringing confidence to Jets fans

As Jets new head coach, Rex Ryan is ready to bring confidence to Jets fans. His attitude is attacking, and this attitude is very contagious. Now Jet fans are saying "bring 'em on!" to the games against the Pats.

He told the media that the Jets is ready to attack any team they will face in the games.

He did not change much of the defense system, just added more blitzing, which is one of Ryan's strongpoints. Ryan is confident that blitzing will get quick pressure on the opposing quarterback.

The Vikings was seen on Saturday practising new offense system. Percy Harvin, a rookie WR signed by Vikings in the the first round of this year's draft, took part in the practice.

The new offense system is called Wildcat offense. It was used by the Dolphins last season and, as it was reported, is the reason for Dolphins' success last season. The Vikings seemed in the hope of improving the team by learning from the Dolphins Wildcat offense.

Kyle Orton is more likely to be Broncos Starting QB

Kyle Orton is currently facing competitiong with Chris Simms. Let's make a comparison first.

Kyle Orton, played 2 full season repectively in 2005 and 2008. His best record was in 2008, with over 2,900 yards, 18 touchdowns and 12 interceptions. In total he has passed for over 5,300 yards, for 30 TDs and 27 INTs in his career.

Chris Simms, as son of Giants great Phil Simms, was considered talented player. His best record was in 2005, when heplayed 10 games for the Buccaneers, with a record of 6-4, passing for over 2,000 yards, 10 touchdowns and seven picks. Not really good enough for an NFL QB. In total, he passed for 3,000 yards, 12 TDs and 17 INTs.

We can see easily that Orton has more advantages than Simms. So it is more likely for him to be the Broncos starting QB.

Lenon will be part of the Patriots

The Boston Globe's Mike Reiss reported that he got comfirmation for Lenon's agent that Lenon has signed undisclosed terms with the Pats, ending his life of free-agent after retiring from the Lions.

Lenon will be working with new coach Belichick and new teammates Jerod Mayo and Tedy Bruschi. The agent also expressed Lenon's eagerness to go back for work.

After Tyrone McKenzie and Boruud's leaving, the Patriots had been looking for satisfying player on market.

Ochocino's position in Bengals is in danger?

It was said that Carson Palmer's absence because of elbow problems partly caused Ochocinco's bad performance in 2008 seaon. Ochocinco only finished 53 receptions, 540 yards and four touchdowns during the 2008 season. And now since the veteran quarterback has been back in perfect form, Ochocinco is expected to prove his value again.

Colston's microfracture procedure was done in January

According to a report by the New Orleans Times-Picayune on Friday,a “microfracture surgical procedure” has been done on olston's left knee in January. It was said that he had worn a small hole in his kneecap.


As Saints WR, Marques Colston's microfracture procedure is not great news for Saints fans. Colston already took a step back in 2008, his third NFL season, before which he went through a pair of 1,000-yard seasons in his first two seasons in the league. because of injuries, Colston did not access to five games and started just six games in 2008, catching 47 balls for 760 yards and five touchdowns.

Times-Picayune's Mike Triplett assessed that Colston will not become 100 pecent healthy until 2009 season.Yet it is still uncertain when Colston will be all better, but since he has already been able to take part in practicing, we can expect that he will become Brees’ favorite target soon.
