On Friday morning, agent Drew Rosenhaus sent out a Twitter feed saying that cornerback Darius Butler has agreed to terms with the New England Patriots.
As the 41st pick out of Connecticut, Butler has agreed on a four-year deal with the Patriots, according to Rosenhaus. So there will no guess whether he will go to wear bears jersey.
Butler’s deal continues a trend of teams being much more proactive in completing deals well before the start of training camp, with more second-round picks now joining the large group of thrird- through seventh-rounders already signed.
Darius Butler is the third one gettng signed after two first-round picks — quarterbacks Matt Stafford and Mark Sanchez — have signed to this point.
