Dolphins played Sunday game without LB Crowder and NT Ferguson

The Miami Dolphins linebacker Channing Crowder missed Sunday before last week’s victory over the New York Giants with a left shoulder injury and the same injury kept him out of last Sunday’s loss to the New England Patriots.

And the Dolphins defense was further weakened with nose tackle Jason Ferguson also being ruled out with an elbow injury. And the team seemed doomed to lose with less experienced replacements while the Patriots would play with one of the league’s top quarterbacks: Tom Brady.

Reggie Torbor replaced Crowder in the lineup, and Paul Soliai had his first career start since he put on NFL jersey three years ago, in replacement to Ferguson. And it seemed that Dolphins did not make a wise decision in releasing veteran linebacker William Kershaw and promoting rookie linebacker J.D. Folsom from practice squad.
