McNair’s sons have gone to court seeking for share of estate

Steven L. McNair Jr. and Steven O’Bryan McNair filed claims separately on Thursday in Davidson County Circuit Court in Nashville. It was over two months after McNair was shot to death by his girlfriend Sahel Kazemi, who killed herself afterwards on July 4 at a Nashville apartment. McNair’s most career was spent with the Tennessee Titans and he used to with the Baltimore Ravens briefly before retirement.

The estate is worth about $19.6 million, and there have been no disputes over the division among the player’s widow, Mechelle McNair and the couple’s two sons, who all have retained attorneys.

Some wore jets jersey.

“He was a great man despite the end. He was a great man. I can’t judge him, can’t judge anyone. We all make mistakes,” Glenda Felder said. She was 54 and followed McNair’s career since he was drafted by the then-Houston Oilers in 1995.

McNair's hometown, Mount Olive, had a banner hanging underneath town sign saying McNair would not be forgotten.

The LP Field will be open on Wednesday and Thursday from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Fans can leave personal messages in a book that will be given to the McNair family. They can also watch the late quarterback's highlights and a photo mural of his career with the Titans. Admission and parking for the event are free, but a ticket office will accept donations to the Steve McNair Foundation.

There will be a memorial service for McNair on Thursday night in Nashville and a funeral service on Saturday at the University of Southern Mississippi in Hattiesburg. A private burial will be held in his hometown of Mt. Olive.

His life ends here. We lose the chance forever to guess whether he would wear cincinnati bengals jersey.
